BYU Hit Hard By Suspension Add Comment    Mar 01, 2011

Hot off the press, BYU announces that they will be Suspending Brandon Davies from the team for the rest of the season for violating the honor code.  Brandon is a Forward on the team and has been an important piece of the team for years.  This loss will take out a big part of size, minutes and points per game as the third leading scorer on the team.  His defense will be missed as well.  Check out this article on ESPN for the full story.

Ouch - this is not good news for BYU. Jimmer can do a lot but it's the team that's been allowing them to have such a great record. If he has one bad night it's the other leading scorers that make sure they don't take a loss. This is the story every year with male college athletes at BYU and their honor code. Why these boys can't just focus on their game on the court instead of fooling around and throwing away huge opportunity - like NBA draft.

I have to admit that I am very impressed with BYU and how they have stayed with their morals and kept to the code. It is very hard to do that, especially when you have a chance at a national title in basketball. As a Utah fan, one can only have respect for what they are doing and wish them luck. ESPN and Jim Rome had nothing but good to say about BYU. This is a good thing for the church BYU represents.
