WHERE DOES YOUR TEAM STAND? VIEW RANKING

BYU at UNLV Add Comment    Jan 11, 2011

I was down in Las Vegas when BYU played UNLV.  I was there to attend CES.  For me, each year CES is fun to see all the new technology, to catch up with old friends in the industry and to look for potential business.  This year I added a new line to my attendance.  Paying to go to a BYU game where Utah is not involved.  Tickets at the door....impossible, Scalped out front, pricey.  $75 for a lower bowl ticket about 15 rows up.  So for me, sometimes it is all about seeing a game.  In this case it was UNLV 25th ranked and BYU 15th at the time.  BYU on the road, so I took my buddy who was in town as well for CES.  He is a BYU graduate, and I a Utah graduate.  He went for BYU and I went to route for UNLV.  First half was great until about five minutes left.  Then Jimmer went off.  HE is amazing.  He shoots the ball about 1-2 feet back of the 3-point line and makes anything.  Half the time it looked like his eyes were closed.  The only negative to Jimmer....He is a ball hog!

Second half did not change for UNLV until it was too late.  They made a run at the end of the game, but to be honest, with the missed shots and the refs playing favorites.  They did not have a chance.  I spoke to each ref.  They were Bishop Ref and Bishop Ref.  Really sad to see how each one really played into BYU's hands.

Anyway, I went, had fun watching UNLV suck and watched my least favorite team get just a bit lucky.  By the way, BYU's number 4!  You rock, tell Jimmer to let up and let you shoot more.  You have a way prettier shot!
