The win upped UVU's record to 4-3 overall and 2-1 in Western Wrestling Conference action, while the loss dropped AFA to 10-4 and 2-2 in the WWC. On the third takedown, Kjar caught Spangler in a cradle and quickly pinned him just 1:41 into the match to give UVU the victory. Kjar, who is UVU's all-time wins leader with 120 career wins, accomplished a huge individual milestone with the win, as he managed to go his entire four-year collegiate career without losing a home match. "I wish all five of our seniors would have been able to win tonight but we'll take the victory," UVU head coach Greg Williams said. "The bookends were great tonight. Flint started it and Ben finished it, as they both got those big pins. We're proud of them and we're proud of the whole team." "Just like in previous matches, our guys come out and really tried to wrestle their best tonight," UVU head coach Greg Williams said. "SDSU is really tough at a couple weights and those were the ones that we had freshman competing at (141 & 197). But I was really pleased with how we competed. Cache Valley Clash (MMA/UFC) 2.58 min. | 5.0 user rating Olympic gold medalist Rulon Gardner and my good friend Travis Chambers put on the first ever MMA fight night to come to Cache Valley, Utah and they did a great job! Sponsors included: Rulon's Elite Training Center, Gold's Gym, Cornwell Tools, Rockstar Energy Drinks, Torquedmag.com, Restless clothing co., Nevasleep Entertainment, and Top of Utah (channel 39). Every fighter performed very well and gave the crowd at Castle Manor (which was filled to capacity) a great show! Good job to those guys and good luck with their future in fighting! I filmed this whole video on the Canon 60D with the 18-135mm lens and edited on iMovie- I'm looking to upgrade lenses, get final cut pro, a microphone, and a glidecam for smoother shots.. Once I get better quality equipment I feel like I'll produce better quality videos (obviously) but I'm happy with how this turned out!
